Information[]

Expansion screws (also known as just screws) are a frequently utilized material in the house design videos by Little John to complete his house remodeling projects. These screws are specifically employed to securely attach the Galvanized Square Steel frames to walls, which is an important component in illegally expanding his house. In many of these projects, the expansion screws are supplied by Little John's rich auntie (either the screws themselves or pocket money to buy some). Her support helps Little John achieve these renovation projects as these screws play a big part in expanding the home. Little John also has an uncle that has not yet physically appeared, but provides screws to Little John in one episode(watch https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTLsPGPfh/ to see).

Physical Description[]

Little John's Aunt gifted him a set of Expansion Screws that are 2.4 inches long and weigh 2 pounds. These screws serve as the primary support for their relative, Galvanized Square Steel. They are renowned for their ability to withstand the weight of Little John for over 1,000 years, making them incredibly durable. Moreover, these screws are an excellent choice for those on a budget, as they offer reliable support without breaking the bank.

History[]

In 1877, Walter Coffin developed a spring for arch expansion that worked by separating the mid-palatal suture. The first expansion screw consisted of a vulcanite base plate with a spring made of piano wire bent in the shape of the letter W. Badcock introduced an expansion screw to the British Society for the Study of Orthodontics (BSSO) in 1911. This screw, made from nickel silver, was used in removable appliances. In 1913, Mellersh modified the Badcock screw.

In 1956, American orthodontist Dr. Andrew Haas introduced his own expansion device. Today, expandable screws continue to be used in various applications, providing a tightened grip on walls and other surfaces.
